I’ll be honest, although there have been many great pieces that have been published in the pages of true faith down the years. I’ve always been a sucker for those beautifully written contributions covering the history of our beloved football club.

That’s why I always loved it when Chris Laws’ fantastic 60 Second Season articles drop into my in-box every month and I can start reading through them and learning just a little bit more about the history of Newcastle United and the world around it.

In this latest issue we are at season 1925/26 – a turbulent political time but also a curious one at St James’ Park.

These pieces are really crisply written, a perfect read when you don’t have that much time but nevertheless completely illuminating and rewarding.

Chris has done a fantastic job with them.
