There hasn’t been much to get excited about this season (again) but one bit of positivity has been the contribution made byRobElliot2 stand-in goalie Rob Elliott. Let’s be honest, as third choice ‘keeper behind Tim Krul and Karl Darlow, Elliott might not have got his chance but for the injuries to the other United goalies. Even when he himself was injured, Karl Darlow’s passable imitation of Frank Spencer (Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em – ask yer Dad!) at West Brom meant that as soon as he was even half-fit the Londoner was back in the team.

Rob has played well this season but I suspect he’s bringing something more valuable to the team right now.

In the latest issue of true faith (TF124) we have a very well written piece detailing Elliott’s contribution and I’d encourage you to have a read.

All you need to do to get at the Rob Elliott piece is to click here.
