Well, that was a bit of a stroll, wasn’t it? A combination of us being controlled and clinical, and West Ham utterly gifting us the game early in both halves. Eddie’s Mags are absolutely flying! Here’s how I saw the ratings.

*****

Nick Pope 6: Feels slightly harsh; not really troubled but seemed a tiny bit shaky after a defensive scramble in the first minute and flapped at the Cat Kicker’s header.

Tripps 8: Continuing his recent return to form, covered pretty much everything that came his way and always wanted to get forward.

Schär 8: Solid, calm and classy despite minor early panic and a delicious defence-splitting ball for big Joe’s first.

Botman 7: Mostly composed and focussed and never really looked in any trouble.

Burn 6: A foot race with Bowen in the first minute could have knocked him mentally but mostly recovered and found himself even troubling their box on occasion.

Murphy 7: Alive to Fabianski’s first howler. Customarily willing but slightly wayward.

Longstaff 7: A typically underrated but effective shift; didn’t notice him hugely but tidied up and grafted as usual.

Bruno 8: Didn’t catch the eye perhaps as much as against Man U, but he’s always organising and elevating everything we do. Went within a whisker of bending one in from the edge of the box and the ball for Joelinton was absolute chef’s kiss.

Big Joe 8: Probably MOM to come back in and score a couple. Had a lot to do for his second and seems brimming with confidence.

ASM 8: I had been really short on patience with his output in games like this, but felt this built on his performance at the weekend and showed maturity and commitment. Lovely ball for Wilson’s first.

Wilson 8: A lot can change during a week in football. Delighted for him to have notched another two and showed that, while fitness can come and go, he’s just blessed with goalscoring instinct and positioning.

Isak (sub) 9: For that chest and finish, and celebration. Sublime.

Willock (sub) 7: Energetic and continuing his resurgence.

Gordon (sub) 6: Really motivated and bright in parts but the cutting edge isn’t there yet.

Honorary rating for Fabianski: 10/10. Cheers, son.
