It is now approximately a staggering thirty years since our near neighbours crashed into Division Three for only the first time in their history. Their deciding match with Gillingham, featuring the goal-scoring exploits of one Tony Cascarino is a game written into North East folklore, not only for sealing the fate of the Wearsiders but also for the presence of hundreds of Mags in their own enclosure cheering on the team from Kent.

As part of a series of historical true faith podcasts we would like to speak to Mags who made the trip to Roker Park for that play-off match in order to hear of their experiences and get a general flavour of the day in the context of Sunderland’s current plight etc.

If you were at Roker Park to see Sunderland slide into Division Three and would be prepared to come onto the Podcast (anonymity can be provided) then please contact and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.

All the best.
