MICHAEL MARTIN (@TFMick1892) with the scores on the doors from a memorable night at Old Trafford…
Dubravka – 8 – One save towards the end of the first half which looked a bit dramatic for me. Laundry won’t need to wash his shirt.
Livramento – 9 – Absolutely outstanding. Ran the right side of the pitch. Tigerish in the tackle, brilliant in the air, and a constant threat going forward – see goals flying in the Man Utd net.
Hall – 8 – Oozed quality and maturity. Loved the way he tucked in, and was comfortable all over the park. Decent goal, eh?
Dummett – 8 – The lesser-spotted Dummy was superb here tonight – totally solid and disciplined. They shall not pass.
Krafth – 8 – Did not put a foot wrong. Rarely does, when called upon these days.
Targett – N/A – This lad’s luck is almost Fast Show proportions.
Longstaff – 8 – Longstaff is as Longstaff does, and that’ll do. What an engine.
Willock – 8 – All over the park. Intelligent, strong, and not even back to 50% of his best. What a finish, too.
Ritchie – 7 – Radgie as ever and totally and utterly demonic. More please, it’s been too long.
Joelinton – 8 – A man mountain. A tyro for us, and Man Utd had no answers.
Gordon – 8 – Another with an incredible engine. Relentless running, putting them on the back foot constantly.
SUBSTITUTES
Almiron (for Targett, 5 mins) – 8 – A constant threat and took his goal as only Miggy can, to send the away end ballooning all over the joint.
Bruno Guimaraes (for Willock, 64 mins) – 7 – Showed his class when came on, as you’d expect.
Wilson (for Gordon, 64 mins) – 7 – Not really enough time to make an impression, but kept Man Utd occupied.
Burn (for Hall, 75 mins) – 7 – Well, you’re never going to beat him, are you? He’s from Blyth and that.
Trippier (for Ritchie, 75 mins) – 7 – The captain, just oozes calm.
MICHAEL MARTIN / @TFMick1892
Massive respect to Krafth – all that hard, lonely work to get fit, then a flawless performance in his first match for 14 months. And not even in his preferred position. Yes, Tino and Big Joe were superb, but Krafth was magnificent.
