Another frustrating draw and one of our poorer performances of the season. Sean Orrick has the TF scores on the doors from the away end at the Vitality.
*****
Nick Pope – 7 – A good save early on, but didn’thave a lot do to apart from that. Could do nothing about the goal.
Dan Burn – 5 – Struggled at times, and missed the cover that Joelinton would usually give. Lost the ball at the end for the chance that could have cost us.
Fabian Schär – 7 – Solid enough – really not much more to add.
Sven Botman – 6 – Don’t think it was his best game judging by what I’ve seen of him previously. I would also love to see him score for us and this may or may not influence this rating… (had he done so, certain 10).
Kieren Trippier – 5 – Toyed with this being 7, because of that clearance at the end (and I’m sure this mark can be debated), but as a whole I thought he could be better, and his delivery wasn’t anywhere near what he is capable of.
Allan St Maximim – 6 – There is definitely something there, and we saw it in glimpses, but we need him to deliver in games like these and it just isn’t happening – probably needs to happen soon.
Joe Willock – 5 – Struggled to get into the game before going off
Joelinton – 8 – Won everything, was dominant, and tidied up when needed, which was often a lot today. Stepped up and took a leading role in the absence of Bruno.
Sean Longstaff – 6 – Covered the ground as he always does, but we didn’t have our usual control on the game, and he is often a big part of that.
Miggy Almirón – 7 – Ran all day again, and the finish for the goal was excellent. But he must be complicit in our lack of creativity today, so his mark is possibly generous?
Alexander Isak – 6 – Struggled to get into the game today, and it didn’t seem to work. However, I don’t think this was in any way his fault, and he did put the effort in. When it goes right for this lad, I have no doubt he will win us games
Subs
Anthony Gordon – 7 – Exciting when he came and, and I can see why he is going to be a starter long term for us. Looked like he missed a sitter from where I was in the ground, but he’ll get more of them for us.
Jacob Murphy – 5 – Not on long enough or did enough to have an opinion on…
Eliot Anderson – 7 – Was bright when he came on and got into some dangerous positions in the box in the short time he was on.
