Another tedious international weekend coming up denies us this chance to get back to supporting Rafa’s Mags but all is not lost.

This Saturday is non-league day when we have another great excuse not to do those chores but instead put the flannel round your face and stride out to a local non-league football match.

You can of course pick your own game and we recommend having a look at this here website which gives all the gen about non-league games all over the country and round here as well.

Our pick in the TF bunker is Morpeth Town v Bishop Auckland.

We’ll be heading to the lovely market town of yon ‘Peth who are currently riding high in Division One of the Northern League and will play host to one of the region’s most historic non-league clubs, Bishop Auckland, buoyed by their 3-0 win over Washington last weekend and will have something to prove in this Northumberland v Durham clash. KO is of course at 3pm.

If you can get to any local game this weekend, make sure to have a pie, a pint, a cup of tea or whatever and put some pennies into the region’s fantastic non-league scene.

That is all.
