Newcastle United Foundation Abseil Saturday 12th April 2014.

Registration is now open for Newcastle United Foundation’s Charity abseil challenge on NUClubcrestSaturday 12th April 2014.

Be part of the 100 strong abseil team and not only will you get the chance to abseil 100m down from the roof of St James’ Park you will also be supporting the Magpie’s official charity.

This unique challenge is open to anyone brave enough to tackle the heady heights of St James’ Park and you will also get amazing views of the city. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, football fan or just fancy a team challenge with your work colleagues this could be for you.

Entry fee for the abseil is £30.00 per person and we are asking people to raise a minimum £140 in sponsorship which will help disadvantaged children, young adults and families across the North East.

As an independent charity, we have to raise over £1.5 million annually and rely on the enthusiastic support and commitment of Newcastle United fans and the local community to do this. By taking part in this challenge, you are helping us to this. Please watch our Building a United Futurevideo to find out more about what we do .

Anyone aged 14 or over can take part. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However this person does not need to take part in the abseil.

There are no minimum / maximum height restrictions, but we ask that participants be reasonably fit and active in order to get up onto the roof and into position to abseil.
