The first GALLOWGATE FLAGS QUIZ is going to be held this coming Tuesday night at 7pm (6/Dec/2016) and we have had news of some fantastic prizes that are going to be donated from all manner of wonderful people.

First up though, Newcastle United have very generously donated two signed shirts, a signed and framed Rafa pic and a prize for a family or group of four to meet players pitch-side before a home game of their choosing, seats in the press-box behind the tunnel and access to the post match press conference led by Rafa.

Our main quiz-master for the night will be BBC Radio Newcastle’s new United commentator, Matthew Raisbeck.

Not bad eh?

As if that wasn’t good enough, its highly likely that one of the first team squad will drop by to make an appearance as well.

May I thank Wendy Taylor, United’s Head of Media for playing an absolute blinder for GALLOWGATE FLAGS. Thank you so much Wendy.

But other great people have also donated prizes.

The Backpage have donated a £25 Gift Voucher. Steve Wraith has donated a signed print of Alan Shearer and the

Poppy reflected in puddle at feet of Sir Bobby Robson Newcastle's Cardiff's at St James park, Newcastle

Tyneside Irish Centre has put up ten pints as a prize as well.

The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation have also donated a copy of the great man’s book.

NINE Bar itself are also putting up free meals and other treats.

Martin Hardy will also be putting up a copy of his great book TOUCHING DISTANCE but as well as that our friends TOON PHOTOGRAPHY have also kindly donated prizes too.

Ticket sales for the night have been really brisk but there are a few left. You can get them by clicking here

The tickets are £5 per head and teams of up to four can enter.

This is going to be the best ever Newcastle United quiz and will test just how much we all know about our beloved football club.

Who knows but there might be a few other surprises as well.

Remember, every penny raised from the quiz night will be donated to the fund to purchase at least one huge surfer flag to display on the Gallowgate End towards the end of the season and which we hope will mark our return to the Premier League with Rafa and this great group of lads we have turning out for us.

Hope to see you all there.
