This Sunday we face Liverpool FC at St James’ Park in what is always one of the most attractive fixtures of any season. Throw Rafa’s relationship with the Reds and the high regard he is held in by Kopites and the people of Liverpool into the mix and this makes for an even more special occasion.

Gallowgate Flags have been anticipating this fixture for some time not least because of the meeting between Rafa and his former club but also because it gives Newcastle United supporters to demonstrate the spectacle they have been creating since August/16.

Gallowgate Flags now has more flags now more than ever. At the Liverpool game there will be a further two prominent flags on display. Or rather, there could be.

Gallowgate Flags is in desperate need of more volunteers to make the displays happen. It isn’t onerous hard work in honesty, its simply being in the Gallowgate 30 mins before KO and a few minutes later to help get the flags back and away for another occasion. More hands makes lighter work.

For the Liverpool game, Gallowgate Flags would love to put on the biggest display yet for a watching world wide audience.

But the lads and lasses who put so much graft into Gallowgate Flags need your help.
