Allan Saint-Maximin only joined Newcastle United a few days ago but he is quickly becoming a fan favourite on Tyneside.
Much has been reported about the Frenchman’s attitude problems. It is early days in his Newcastle career but so far it seems he is a saint by name and by nature. The winger has already offered to help the Newcastle United Food Bank, something that is close to the hearts of the Geordie faithful..

Saint-Maximin has been interacting with fans on social media over the last few days. The former Nice winger has even tried to track down a young fan, promising him his shirt.
Can you find the other boy who had it in the first place? Nevermind, both of them will have my jersey in the end 👌🏾

Saint-Maximin has pleased supporters on and off the pitch. His debut from the bench against Saint Etienne showed his qualities. Quick, skillful and a nightmare for any back line, Saint Maximin will cause Premier League defenders all sorts of problems.
Newcastle United supporters love a player who can get them off their seats. The club have had many over the years, David Ginola, Hatem Ben Arfa and Laurent Robert, all fellow Frenchman. Saint-Maximin is clearly motivated to be a success on Tyneside, his English is good, something that will help him settle in quickly.
Should Saint-Maximin perform consistently well for the Magpies this season, the winger will be in contention for a senior international call up with France.
The new Newcastle forward line is exciting. Should Almiron, Joelinton and Saint-Maximin link well together, the Magpies could surprise a lot of people this season.
There has been a lot of doom and gloom around Newcastle this summer, the new arrivals have given the supporters a much needed lift.
Amongst all the negativity a much needed shimmer of light has appeared. If Saint-Maximin’s second half cameo against Saint Etienne was anything to go by, Newcastle supporters have a lot to be excited about.
Saint-Maximin is relishing the challenge of the Premier League, there is still room for him to improve and Newcastle is a great place for him to prove to everyone just how good he is.
